Kahzakhstan. Very nice.

Kendal, Ji, Jane, Nastya and Susie left Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) to go to Almaty (Kahzakhstan). Almaty is the former capital and the most populated and rich city of the country. We have a presentation to make at Almaty's contemporary art center focusing on the art of Central Asia.

After 30 min. drive from Bishkek, we arrived at the border and we went through the passport check point where I had the first glimpse of the country and from the border it looked just like Kyrgyzstan. Rural, poor, funny ads showing blode bimbos... It looked just like out of Borat. I was still very excited to be stepping on a yet another exotic country. The visible difference from Kaza and Kyrg was the people. In Kyrg, I felt almost half of the people were Asian. On the streets of Kaza, most of people looked Eastern European.
